Fair warning for my followers: "recent events" made me decide that we need yet another "Adult Shell profile exposure"; meaning that upcoming weekend (= week 29) I'm going to give it my very best to make my profile 'unsafe for work' as best as I can. BUT ... as one could expect: fully within the rules of Steam, that's just common courtesy.

I am gonna use my profile text boxes to share some opinionated stuff but ... no spoilers and no worries (spoilers work in there ;)).

(and yes: I'll even add NSFW warning signs, you'll see!).

Normally I steer clear from politics on Steam. And sometimes... Several "outspoken" people claim that Steam intrudes on our rights, yaddah, yaddah, nonsense. Thing about me: I don't shy away from minor controversy, including games (doh). And here I am, still enjoying those "dangerous" or "heathen" games. Are we sure we evolved from the times of the Spanish inquisiotion? I mean, sure: no more torture, but while they don't call it 'heathen' some countries (or blocks thereof) still censor stuff. Censorship in the "free West".

@Luna: Thanks... as for the notification: probably because of your earlier comment, check the option on the upper right: that allows you to subscribe to all this. Don't worry though: this place isn't that heavily used ;)

And then my PC b0rk down... PSU, replaced it, but unfortunately the erratic behaviour caused some serious damage; it even refuses to boot FreeBSD or Linux. Major bummer... got a temp (back to Windows 10 for now :( ), but I'm looking for a new computer....

Well.. I finally done it: upgraded Windows 10 to 11 just now, so far so good. Honestly? It's not that bad at all... while I do kinda miss the live tiles on the start menu I also really enjoy several of its enhancements.

The new terminal app is really good, and tabs in the file manager (Explorer)? Solid.

Thanks Shell. Enjoy the season. I havent watched a football game in 25 years myself. It used to be almost an addiction, from 10am Sunday morning and the coach's show all the way to past midnight when NFL Primetime would end. I cant even imagine what we would have been like back them with NFL Sunday Ticket or whatever its called now.

I know I'm "a little late" for the summersale party, but watch me no care... thanks to my recent game purchase (and lots of awards for some of my guides) I managed to snatch up the summersale goodies from the point shop. And that scooter girl (see my profile?) is just way too cute, I'm loving it! Nicely played Steam!

Another day, another friends account being taken over :( Just a reminded for everyone: never blindly trust links which people sent you. Also don't think that a QR code can keep you safe, it doesn't.

When in doubt: always use a saved (trusted!) link from your browser favorites to go to the actual Steam website. Then make sure you're logged in. After that reload the scam site and if it doesn't automatically log you in... you'll know that it's all fake. I was surprised to see that they included QR codes now these days.

For those Steam friends who reached out to me yet I had to ignore a bit... Yah, I'm still alive and doing fine ("sorta") but I have a very rough time behind me. For the past months I took care of my mother, who has now unfortunately passed away, and things have been rough but also very rewarding. I'm still a bit on/off because there's still a lot to take care off but first things first... Relaxing and enjoying myself a bit this weekend.

I do not condone naming & shaming for all the obvious reasons (daring comment: being against the rules is not the most important reason on my list). Heck, when I post stuff like I'm doing now? Seriously you guys: don't take me on my word for it always make up your own mind on things.

SO I got contacted by the "Werewolf of the Seas", he's from the US and really enjoys Need for Speed & Cyberpunk 2077. I got invited to collect a "$50 gift card" from the Steam community website which had waaaay too many 'n''s in its name.

This is not a Steam friend of mine but he contacted me through one of my Steam groups, since most of them are kinda large... yah, I'm going here.
