Well, after i finished 100% of this game it's time for a review :D

First and foremost: I tend to enjoy grindy games from time to time, so i spend more time here than the average to do the 100% achievements.

If you're old like me and remember games like "Ragnarok Offline" or the newer "Dust: An Elysian Tail": This is quite comparable.
It's a little sidescrolling hack'n'slash RPG that evolves solely around slaying enemies and collection ressources for quests.
It's centered around a single town acting as base area, where you can buy stuff, upgrade your characters weapons, armor and runes(the elemental system of the game) and accept / finish your quests.

This town is quite barren when you start the game, without much to do there, but you build and expand it with the main quest and little side quests you do. With every building upgrade you unlock new upgrades for your characters or new stuff to buy, so it's quite nice to see progress while doing your stuff.

The quests are, in a nice way, forgettable, as well as the story is. Nothing really special, but cute when you have the nerve to read them all. Some dialogues are, in my eyes, unnecessarily long.
You get stamps for quest completion, complete stamp cards with those and get new stamp cards afterwards until you have all 160 stamps and all cards full.

When you finish the game the first time, your last stamp card isn't completely finished, but the game is so nice and saves automatically after the the last boss, switches on "hard mode" and overwhelms you with a bunch of final quests to finish your card and after that even more quests to collect enough money for everything you need to finish it finally.

There is a little fishing minigame, just mashing right button combinations and a little combo system that grows over time with your character upgrades. It's quite satisfying to stomp minibosses with those into the ground.

But beware: As i wrote initially, i tend to enjoy grindy games and most the game is pure grinding, real simple pure grinding. Choose an area you want to farm stuff for upgrades or a quest, choose your accessories and elemental runes, that are not really needed until hard mode, fill your magic pouch with health potions and go grind all the stuff you want and need.

And well that's it. Got it for around 4-5€ and had 30 hours fun with it, so it was worth my while.

So yeah, i can recommend it, if you want a game you can play in short bursts without putting much brain power into it.

I don't know if it's a prologue to the main game or anything you want to remember when starting that though.
EDIT: Just started Hundred Heroes and you get benefits from a complete save of Rising on your System :) No idea what that changes in the game, since i've never played it before, but at least it's recognized :)

This one is special.
The first OST hit me the moment i tried the game on Gamepass and i heard "Wherever We Are Now" and the vocals started.
That was the moment i bought it here and ordered the Vinyl on BlackScreenRecords.

This Acoustic OST does the same thing. I really really hope this one will be released on Vinyl, too.
Really great tracks! Love it.

I mean .. it's iconic now .. It's freaking Blade and Sorcery. A game where you can become more cruel than you ever imagined. And there is a campaign mode now. This just rocks.

My most beloved storytelling game out there.
While not as hard to learn and not as complex as Dwarf Fortress and way more modern in its visuals, it doesn't lack complexity.
Depending on what you choose you can build almost everything you can imagine. from a nice chilled stoner community to cannibals that make their furniture out of human leather to post human cyborgs.

Technically there is a story and an end but don't expect to reach it in your very first steps.

You can create your own start, own rules and own planet and there are tons and tons of mods that enhance or change the game completely.

This little game is kinda neat.
I've been looking for an alternative to or better "more of" Xortex from Valves "The Lab" and this one kinda hits the spot.
The little space kitty sits on one of your controllers and can fire lasers out of its eyes. You can change the controller with the trigger on the off-hand.
You're shooting waves of bad space rats and after each wave you can choose an upgrade out of 4 random(?) shown upgrades, like faster shooting, faster projectiles, faster shield recharge and so on.
After you've been killed (or beat all the waves i guess? Achievements go up to wave 100) you can buy little cosmetics for your kitty, like another "spacecraft", fur color or hat and thats it.

I can see myself playing this one from time to time to just relax with a nice VR arcade shooter.

Played on a Vive Pro 2 with the Vive Wands (2018). Maybe i'll test it on the Index Knuckles next time, but considering the age i don't think they'll be integrated correctly. I will update the review then. :)

I learned about this game while checking games in my Viveport Infinity subscription, tested it there and finally bought it.
After a few maps i was unsure whether to like or hate it,
It felt kinda unfinished to me, but i kept it, but forgot about it.

About two month ago i came back and i must say: wow. i'm totally baffled now by this game.

The cons for me first:
- Limited song library
- No custom songs
- A music taste you need to like

Now the pros:
- Unique gameplay (or better gunplay)
- a good learning curve. - Shooting bad guys with matching beats is really nice.
- A music taste you need to like (yeah, its pro and con. But i really like it)
- Songs, or Maps with a story and a matching theme
- The freaking awesome campaign. Srsly, it's really good and made me comeback almost daily.
- As i'm playing VR mostly for fitness and sports, this one is kinda my favourite squats game. Depending on the day i do around 350-550 here while just playing and evading shots.
- You will sweat on normal and hard when you are shooting bad guys and evading their shots. No exeptions. So good!
- You feel like a freaking god when shooting in dual wield mode.

If you like rhythm games, gunplay and a kinda unique music style i'd say: Try it. And try the campaign in the 2 hours window, it's really good.

I really hope Cloudgames will keep updating the game with more songs and maps.
Paid DLC wouldn't be a downer here for me at least, as it allows for more expensive music licenses.
And i really really hope the option to create custom maps will be there in a future update.

But as it is now, it's my starter for my VR-sports session to get warm (the gunplay isn't that tiring) and to get plenty of squats on the way.

First things first: This is going to be a VR review.

Officially they only support Oculus hardware, but it worked for me with a Vive Pro and Index Knuckles without any issues yet.
The gameplay is half dollhouse with point and click elements and half the music gameplay, where you play piano in first person. And boy, the sheer amount of scores you can play is really nice.
Until now it's not really hard and a really relaxing experience, so if you like piano music (and playing it yourself) and a really cute and mysterious story, give it a try.

Really good RPG with the best mechanics i've seen so far.
Like big boss fights? Don't like the bashing to the feet to kill the bosses? Then this is it for you.
You have to find the weak spots, have to climb them and learn how they work.

A warning: takes some time to finish with 100% but somehow manages to keep you on the line with every single quest, replay and bossfights.

The story may seem shallow on the first view, but gets deep and good really fast.

Currently got it on release for the Xbox360, got it again with the Dark Arisen expansion for the Xbox360 and now on steam and it was worth every single time the more than 190 hours gametime.

Moon Hunters is a really nice game for coop sessions with a friend. You have a kind of nice story, endless possibilites in how it can end and a good amount of randomness.
The sad thing is, that the netcode is not really good. Lags, desyncs and disconnects are quite normal and kill the fun a bit, as the game only saves from day to day(ingame)
But nonetheless i can recommend the game, it was quite an experience for me and a friend.
