Got as far as the tutorial before bailing out because the damn phone won't stop ringing. I answer the call from Dad in my apartment and as soon as I step outside the tablet is making a ringing sound constantly with no way to stop it.

My daughter and I have been fans of Granny since it was released on iOS earlier this year. It is indeed true that the game is free on mobile, but it is ad supported and the graphics quality is reflective of the target hardware. On PC, although there is a cost to purchase an otherwise free game, the improvements it brings to the graphics (and controls!) and the lack of ads is well worth it. Even putting those points to one side, the gameplay is fun and worth the relatively small cost anyway.
