Assigning controller rumble to haptic feedback?
I know that this isn't an important feature to add, but I'd like to see an option to translate rumble feedback into haptic feedback.

I'd rather have good haptic feedback. I just played the first part Spec Ops: The line. And the gattling gun from the helicopter scene gave me a steady tak-tak-tak-tak as feedback. Only the tak-tak-tak was about 1/4th of the audio stream ;-). It really felt good.

But yes, to make emulation complete you might want to have that.

I like your idea, specially for the hundreds of games compatible with rumble in controllers that of course were not made for the haptic feedback of the Steam one.
