I have to disagree with you. I don't think Valve has been lazy with SteamOS 3. They've been putting in a ton of work behind the scenes, not just on SteamOS itself, but on Proton, drivers, and making Linux gaming better overall. SteamOS 3 is built specifically for the Steam Deck, and turning it into something that works smoothly on all kinds of different PCs isn’t simple. I think they’re taking their time because they actually care about getting it right, not because they're being lazy.
