It seems it is also considered a stand-alone PC with 16GB of RAM.
Expect it to have some effect on the final price Valve decides upon, unless ALL Steam Frame's have already been built before RAM became expensive and they're only going to sell the existing ones.
Even if they didn't stockpile RAM I wonder if they might be okay. Because maybe they secured a binding contract that gives them a certain amount of RAM supply in the future or something.
I would think if they stockpiled RAM, it means the factory where they produce these things has received a supply of RAM or whatever components and presumably has it in a warehouse or storage area. Yes.
If all you have is a contract with a RAM supplier to provide you with RAM in the future, then I don't think you would say that you have a RAM stockpile because you don't actually have the RAM yet.
