hi everyone, it's been a minute!

so i'm sure a lot of us are aware of what's going on, nintendo has filed a cease and desist to garry's mod which is resulting in takedowns of all nintendo related content on the workshop

now this sucks, matter of fact it REALLY sucks, and this is genuinely one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things nintendo has ever done and this just further proves they are an awful company, but sadly there is not much we can do

to prevent being affected by this i urge you all to backup all of your addons, not just for gmod but for sfm as well

once the addons get removed from the workshop, the programs will automatically delete them all next time you boot it up so make sure you got absolutely EVERYTHING backed up on to another part of your computer

i have long stopped using garry's mod and sfm, but i feel terrible for everyone who will be affected by this, and part of this personally gets to me as well since so much work was put in to everything me and other content creators have put out

these addons and softwares are the reason why i've gotten as far as i did as an artist today, so its just really sad to see this happen

i wish you all the best, and i pray that there will be some work around to this so that the creativity from this community can continue to flourish

Edit by FancyNight: If you're confused as to why addons have been disappearing for the past month or two, Nintendo filed the order to facepunch a few months ago, and they slowly started working on it until people started saying to investigate it further to see if it's real, hence why it stopped for a bit, but Gary Newman on Twitter confirmed it's real a few hours ago sadly.

Like what funny green guy said, back up your files, once they're gone from the workshop they'll be gone yada yada yada, don't try to re-upload them, you will either get into trouble or they'll be removed quickly, be safe

You've all been waiting for a long time but Inkling and Octoling 2.0 is here, currently only for SFM, when there's a gmod version I'll post here too.

Now, why would you want to use V2 over the originals? First off, more bones in the Inklings and Octolings fingers which makes posing much easier alongside that more dynamic finger poses!

The models have been edited and a lot of problems from the original models have been ironed out!

All tentacles have been re-modelled and are higher quality than before!

Finally is playable Octolings! No more editing Rival octolings or Inklings to make them look like Octolings, you can finally rest easy Until splatoon 3 when loads of new styles get added

Anyways, give a big thanks to the people who ported these models to SFM, and huge thanks to Fission who actually created the models!

For people living under a rock, Nintendo finally done a direct after over 500 days (Almost 2 years!) and right at the end they announced Splatoon 3, it's coming in 2022, no exact date but we shall see in the future!

I'm gonna guess and say that it's 10 - 20 years into the future after the chaos vs order splatfest

I do want to say something about all of us, I have no idea if we'll port because we're all using different engines, me personally I use Blender. But that could change, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Anyways, was just a quick little announcement, I may not be into Splatoon anymore myself, but I'm pretty excited for this!

Enhanced V2 will not be happening from those who run the group currently as far as I know

I won't be updating any of my previous ports, so if there's any issues or stuff you guys are waiting for regarding these ports, i wont be updating these. I apologize.
I also wont be doing enhanced off the hook either for those who've heard me mention in the past
Overall I wont be adding any more content

Make sure to look out for other content creators, cause I know some people will still be contributing to the community and bring you guys new assets and such

I lost all the passion to port and have no more interest in splatoon for now

Hey everyone, been awhile hasn't it? Hope everyone is doing well and keeping themselves safe during this pandemic.
So, this is basically an announcement saying exactly what's happened with this group and the ports in general.


I won't go into details with the other guys, but for me, I moved away from the Splatoon community, and quit SFM and I'm now doing blender stuff, Fortnite and OC stuff. (If you're curious about it, then look at my twitter by clicking here).
We all basically moved away from it as we just didn't want to do it anymore, simple as that. We got bored of it and just stopped.


I'm uncertain, but from my knowledge, this group will stay dry as a desert. That might change if Splatoon 3 appears but most likely not. So, sorry for everyone who wanted some extra clothing or maps or weapons or NPCs, etc.


So what I'm going to do, is linger around this group, I've seen comments about some bad people so I'll stick around, and ban them if any of them get out of hand. This does NOT mean I'm coming back, I'm just making sure this group is still enjoyed by the people still here, and who are willing to stay.

I hope you all understand why we all decided to move on. And I hope you all have a nice rest of your day / afternoon / evening / night. Hope to talk to you all soon. And hopefully next time an announcement is made, it's some good news.
