show negativ rep on bp.tf + unconfirmed reports on steamrep.com
hi there it would be great if you could show negativ rep on bp.tf aswell as unconfirmed reports on steamrep.com example this http://rep.tf/76561198105299543 user shows all fine on rep.tf however if you check hi backpack.tf trust page or steamrep.com profile you will see hes a scammer (steamrep.com usually is VERY slow in confirming reports)

We cannot show pending reports from SteamRep.com until they release a new API. We use to show this data when rep.tf was first launched, Mattie specifically requested for us not to show this data until they release a new API. As for BP.tf when they initially released their rep system it was easy for anyone to post negative rep without any kind of validation systems in-place. So we felt it was too easy for anyone to post fake rep. Has it changed since?

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to share it. This has not been the first time we were asked to display pending reports from SR. We are waiting for SR to release a new API respecting their wishes.

Hey! I just came here to suggest some sort of marking system for unconfirmed reports and negative trust reps on bp.tf but it looks like it's already been done. Why id Mattie request that you guys stop showing the data until a new API is released? Is it related to accuracy of data or something? Sorry i'm a programming noob.

As for Bp.tf trust rating I think it would be a good idea to show some sort of caution for trust rep related issues, maybe not a red warning but like a yellow caution. Like the Steam VAC ban one which emphasizes that the caution could be non trade related. This would encourage people to actually go to the trust rep section of someone they're trading and make a decision on their own based on what they see there. If it were in green most people (new traders) would just assume it's safe and trade the person. I strongly believe having this will reduce the number of trades that happen with scammers and it will bring rep.tf closer to being a one stop spot for all rep checking needs.

It's true that it's very easy for people to post false negative ratings however the false ratings can be reported and removed fairly quickly (1 or 2 days). I've been using Rep.tf for about 5 months now and have easily rep checked over 1000 different profiles in this period. From what I see only 1-5% of people actually have negative trust rep and out of those few that have them, I would say only a quarter end up having false trust rep. The numbers from my experience are so small that I would think the benefits of having the caution tag implemented would outweigh the problem of false trust rep.

Just a suggestion. Hope you guys take it into consideration. Thank you for Rep.tf :) If it weren't for it i'd probably be perma banned on Outpost and marked on SR by now!

SteamRep API now returns the number of banned friends and the amount of pending reports on the queried user.
