I was searching for the eu version of this group to get notified when there would be newbie mixes but could not find it. Dose this group post eu announcements too ?

Someone from this group contacted me about a TF2 tournament. Signing in to the "tournament" website they sent me using Steam gave them full API access to my account.

They changed my profile picture, bio, blocked friends, added a scammer to my friends list. The scammer contacted me posing as a Valve employee, etc.

I was dumb and should have reviewed the API permissions.

If this happens to anyone else, the two steps I took to remove their access
1. "Deauthorize all devices" to sign out of Steam everywhere -- https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
2. "Revoke My Steam Web API key" -- https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Things discord doesn't have that we use constantly:
Whisper users
Easy user organization, while still allowing communication
Priority speaker
Send messages to users by channel

It's not like people who prefer mumble have never heard of discord. We have our reasons, and just saying "mumble's ♥♥♥♥; use discord" comes across really poorly.

Mumble is better for higher level competitive, mainly because it has less latency and is more lightweight on your computer.

I would have told you this privately if you had added me and asked why I banned you, but you decided to ask publicly, so here you go. Here's where your excuses fall flat:

1: If it was just a bind that you hit accidentally, then the proper response when a coach calls you out on it is to apologize, not be a smartass by immediately disobeying the literal words used.

2: Saying it's a bind implies that you're comfortable enough with the statement and use it enough to make it a bind.

3: I'd been getting complaints about your attitude from coaches for a few weeks now, this was just a last straw type of event.

4: You've been playing mixes for a long time, long enough that I doubt you're learning very much from them anymore, so you were on the border of being graduated soon either way.

Time to stop pissing in the kiddie pool and move up.
