And since we're starting this off with comics, remember that even if you don't buy Humble's Valliant comics bundle, they're still giving away a free book every day. The new title is posted at 11:00am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern each day.

Something slightly different...

Big Finish produces high quality audio dramas based primarily on BBC television programmes. They've made hundreds of plays with the cast of Doctor Who (classic) and many more based on other shows like Dark Shadows, Highlander, Blake's 7, and Stargate.

Registering for an account (give and confirm an e-mail) gets you five free audios. Three original Doctor Who adventures (a McGann, a Davison, and a C. Baker) a U.N.I.T. adventure with the late, great Nicholas Courtney and a documentary about Big Finish and their licensing of Doctor Who from the BBC.

Microsoft is giving away a mountain of free music on their Xbox music cloud service. They're offering one hundred albums by people you've actually heard of. All you need is a Microsoft account and a windows 8.1 phone or PC. This article describes it better than I can:

The Comixology Christmas promo started a couple days ago. A different free comic each day from Dec 11 - 22.
