Valve is removing non-gaming videos from Steam
https://store.steampowered.com/news/48501/

A number of videos also have trading cards: https://store.steampowered.com/search/?category1=992&category2=29

It looks like most of the ones with trading cards are movies / videos based on or connected to a video game series, so they might survive the purge. I'm outside of the US, it appears there are more movies with trading cards where the store page is completely hidden in my region. So now I have no idea exactly how many items are effected because I simply can't see them.

If they don't survive the purge then obviously with the video gone from the store the items for them runs the risk of becoming unmarketable. So last chance to buy those videos (you'll be able to craft booster packs post-purge) and maybe the last chance to buy the cards / emoticons / profile backgrounds from the market.

Huh. I had no idea I could get John Wick 2 here and I could also get a badge for it.

Same here! I found the John Wick 2 movie by chance recently. Had no idea you could watch it on Steam too! The backgrounds are uber cool (read: Keanu Reeves! :woo::loudfrog:)!

Huh.

I'm in Australia, it looks like there are a bunch of movies and it looks like there are a bunch of movies that aren't just disabled for purchase in my region but the store page is disabled entirely.

So I couldn't even see it in the search results of movies with trading cards, so that invalidates my original statement that most of the movies with cards appeared to be connected to a game series.
