Hello, it's me, Derny. I'm restoring the servers this month. It looks like the quality of servers in the game modes we hosted are still inferior in comparison to ours, and I mean that in the most respectful way. I still do miss the servers and all the features and work that was put into them. I also should have never taken the servers down in the first place, but it doesn't matter now. The servers won't be as popular as they once were, but we can for sure collectively aim to bring them to decent counts daily. The game itself has lost a significant amount of its player base, as predicted and as clear as day now, but it's alright.

I will also restore forums {LINK REMOVED}(compactgamers.com) too. Everything in database will be dated to date of shutdown. All donators will still have status, points will have, etc.

I will still occasionally make updates here and there probably in-game.

Being part of cG was quite the coming-of-age experience. My name was sol, soleris, etc. at the time I was playing on these servers. I'm grateful for the friends I made during my time here--especially the ones I now connect with in-person. Missing everyone and am hoping all is well.

Goated gmod servers, man. I've never forgotten about my roots in the murder servers there and the tryhard-y vibe I got every time I was active. Even now as I've moved on to streaming and speedrunning fnaf security breach, whose community has been great and I've gotten to make a few new friends.

Hey guys! I don't know if anyone remembers me, I went by a few different names back in the cG days but I was last known as Naf or Luna. My friends and I decided it would be fun to make our own prop hunt server. It's still brand new and we're still growing, you'll find it's reminiscent of old servers like cG or Banana, but it's also new with prop rotation and custom taunts. If anyone is interested, let me know (I hope to see some old friends <3) :D

banana- I just turned 20 today and I remember spending the entirety of my early teenage years playing cg murder. i would hop on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop each day after school and lie to mfs saying i was 16 when i was 13 and i would just mic spam the ♥♥♥♥ out of everyone until i was muted. i briefly remember seeing the 2020 comeback and i got to play with all of the mfs that coexisted with me on that server, then it went to dust again. what i would do to go back to those days where Cosmic Waffle joined and was the goat of being restarted in the funniest way possible. each time i hop on steam ill click my friendslist and see some of the people from that server still on, while others haven't been online in 1,600 days and i pray that theyre still alive lowkey. <3
