Please post your feedback
If you don't see a discussion topic related to your feedback then you should create one. That allows other people to add their own related comments.

The best feedback you can give is based off your first reactions to the feature. What did you see; what do you expect; and then what actually happened. You don’t need to worry about thinking about how different users may react or interpret something, your direct reaction is what we need to know. This applies equally to code bugs, design bugs, usability issues or just missing features. If there is a specific page then including the url can be very helpful so we know what you’re talking about.

Another helpful piece of feedback after using the site is to post a ‘highs and lows’ list. This is a list of what your high points of using the site were (discovering a feature you thought was cool, or looking at a friends screenshot, etc) and low points (it took me a while to find how to get to page X, page Y was broken, I wanted to do Z but couldn’t).

Though we may not be able to respond to everyone, we do read and appreciate all of your posts. Thanks!

Crate Listing:
When viewing a crate, the description shows the most recent crate added as a big featured box. Due to the fact that there are ~50 possible choices, it would be great if either the top showed a grid of 1-50, with highlighted series that were available, or just the default listings with series numbers in the grid, so avoid having to hover over each box.

My Market History:
It would be great if all transactions, including removed items, showed. If you remove something from the market, it drops from your history. It would be nice to keep a log of all transactions, removed or successful.

Selling/Listing:
Show price suggestions based on current market offerings, before filling in the "set price" field

Additional:
Comments beneath a listing your listing a possibility? Or allowing for it to be optional via a check box when listing an item?

No idea if it is intentional or not, but i could put up a Refreshing Summer Cooler which will expire on Monday, July 11, 2011 (23:00:00) on the market.

I somehow doubt that the item will be usable ( or even show up in the inventory ) if someone would buy it...

On the Sold items tab, it only says the price and who sold it, why not who bought it?

And in the New items tab, it could skip duplicated items and just display the cheapest one, once more items are made avaliable, crates and such could clutter the feed and hide more interesting offers.

Another possible feature that comes to mind would be a graph over time on each item, displaying how the cheapest (or average) price increased or decreased over time. Might be a bit too stock market-y, but could be interesting for those really invested into trading.

More stuff: how about private sales? maybe I want to sell a certain item to a friend, but don't want any trade ninjas to take it.

Minor grip/suggestion: being able to sort item lists, especially in the main page by name (A-Z) amount (lo-hi or hi-low) and cheapest price (in case you are searching for the cheapest items overall or the ones with higher base prices). Possibly done by clicking the "buttons" over the lists (NAME, PRICE, SELLER, etc). Optional something like "Show items priced between X and Y". Say for example I just bought a game and have 1.32€ spare, and I'm looking to invest that into a cool hat, would be nice if I could search prices ranging from 0 to that.

I'm quite happy this is available, since I've basically used trading for the most part to try and "liquidate" my stuff into keys or some currency, that I could then trade for games when I don't actually have money. Having it go straight to the wallet is what I want, just cutting out the middle man and not having to rely on the whims of someone having to buy a game for me.

You should add a "Sell One Like This" type of button. Like if you're browsing the list of things for sale and click on one to look at the prices, you can easily add your own to be sold.

In the selling item dialogue your inventory states "You currently have 0 items in your xyz inventory." if that inventory does not contain Marketplace-able items. While only a minor nag, it might be worth revising that statement to be more specific regarding whatever constraints are applied to Inventory wherever (market & trade dialogues come to mind).
Are we going to get the requested feature "mark as not for sale" ?

How about search, will it be able to find say, crate series 1 without bringing up every other crate ?

What about REAL game item statistics ? some of the statistics sites are way way off

Thanks for actually doing this, looking forward to the rest
RJ probably not worth putting in, when it won't be used later (when you can sell anything)

It would be nice if it had an "item for item" feature

I just bought a key for £0.93 which is fantastic. However I had to attempt to purchase 5 or 6 before finding one that had not already been sold. It's too early to tell if this will be a long term problem or a short team problem due to unprecedented launch day volume. However it would be nice if the page refreshed automatically at a regular interval to remove purchased items from the list.

it's an awesome feature! I can finally get rid of all the stupid crates that accumulated over the years.

Is there supposed to be a Market link in the Community tab? Because I dont see it even after restarting
Rice Shower Dec 12, 2012 @ 12:27pm
How about a way to change the price of an item you already listed without having to take it down? Amazon lets you change the price of your item without having to remove it from its market so why not add it for the Steam Marketplace.

there needs to be a way to organize all items. like, i want to see paints, crates, whatever, in the search results, very much what boxes i can click when viewing my inventory. or, items in some specific price range.
