Hm...

What about Launcher-Games? It is still a bit stupid to use the BPM on the TV, starting the Game and then a launcher will pop-up and you need to go to the PC again to start the Game.

Valve would need to add some form of mouse pointer control/emulation to workaround the problem with games that provide their own launcher. Or companies could patch their games to work better with BPM.
Well, now I can use BPM to some extent again, this fixed the damn blankscreen I got on start. Doesn't fix the occasional crashes, though.

Please fix far cry 3 on big picture mode!

Is it really such a big deal to make Big Picture functional on a Windows XP? I have an AMD Radeon HD 4850, Phenom 2 cpu, a nice HDTV. Why do you want me to spend another $200 on Windows software? It's not good enough that I spent all this money on hardware & had no reason to upgrade because 1 or 2 crap games actually require above Windows XP? Steam do us poor kids a favor, the ones that spend all our money on Valve developed games, & make it compatable, you could have made so much more money on the Big Picture sale if you did.

I'm with BalatroOptimus, the computer I use the most has XP, and I still haven't been able to try big picture mode!

@BalatroOptimus There doing us a favor by upgrading software. You got your moneys worth out of XP. Its been out for a while. Either upgrade (like we all do with TV's,cellphones,PC's,internet, cars and so on and so on) and enjoy win7 for a few more years and all the games that work with it OR go to Linux (which is free) OR Deal with the fact you want awesome software to work but dont want to pay the price every couple of years. You can only run from upgrading for so long. (BTW isnt Win7 hella cheap to get? considering win8 is out and the newest?) ive NEVER had to pay anything close to 200$ for any software upgrade.

@S.Holmes It's $180 to upgrade to Windows 7 & I have a family to take care of. I don't know my way around Linux either, I've been using Windows for 10+ years. Also I get free antivirus software with XP.
Zr40 Dec 11, 2012 @ 1:30pm
It's $180 for the Ultimate edition, which you don't really need. Home Premium is only $98.60 on Amazon, and I'm sure you can find a better deal if you look around.
GIR Dec 12, 2012 @ 2:19am
Hey thanks a lot, Zr40, I almost didn't consider that, but you got me thinking, like what difference does it make & there really isn't one when it comes to gaming, so thanks, you just saved me $100.

With Linux you don't need free antivirus software... you barely need it with Windows 7 if you are carefull of what you download and what pages you surf on.
