I could really use some help! I’ve tried everything. I have done this in both big picture mode and small.

I use a 2024 MacBook Air 13-inch, M3, 2024 with an Xbox Elite 2 controller, which I just updated to V5.21.3241.0. Steam recognizes the controller in Big Picture Mode and Controller Settings, but none of the inputs register in games (including Stardew Valley). The controller works perfectly on macOS and in non-Steam games. Steam does not allow the controller to do actions in Big Picture mode when I plug the controller in, but it does recognize that a controller is connected under the controller settings. Again, my Mac acknowledges the controller's functions via Bluetooth and a wired connection and allows the controller to do specific commands in the regular OS.

So far I’ve:
• Reinstalled Stardew Valley
• Reset global and per-game controller configs
• Deleted config.vdf and restarted Steam/macOS
• Confirmed Full Disk Access + Input Monitoring permissions
• Launched from Big Picture with no other input devices touched
• Disabled/Enabled Steam Input in both global and game settings

Overlay shortcuts (e.g., Steam button + X) also don’t work.

Anybody have experience with this?
