Challenge 10 has arrived!

The tenth is quite a milestone and therefore we've decided to do something unusual this time. Literally. The mode will be ''FFA''.

What is FFA?

-You can update any unusual! Regardless of hat/effect etc. This challenge is about updating as many items as you possibly can.
-For any accepted suggestion you will gain 1 point.
-Points for mini's do not exist in FFA since a mini is also an unusual.

Prize pool:
Starting with: 5 keys
Every 5 suggestions submitted: +1 key

cap at 25 keys total.

Quality Award = Bill's Hat (chosen by coaches/mods/hosts).

Backpack.tf will be hosting an official event next week, so we won't be hosting a challenge as this would conflict.

Challenge #7

This means that we won't be hosting Challenge #7 during 3rd - 10th of August. Instead this will get postponed to 17th - 24th of August.
Challenge mode for Challenge #7 (17th-24th August) -> Solo.

Duo option won by 60% of the votes. This means that we will be hosting Challenge #5 in a slightly different way.
Down below there is a link to sign up officially. Based on the sign ups we will decide if we want to go through with this, since we'd need atleast a few sign ups.

After the sign ups we will be picking duo's. We're doing this based on previous challenge experieces and your time zone. It's not likely that we'd put someone from Australia in a team with someone from Germany, as an example. Lemons and I spend a lot of time in this discord so we're generally aware of any issues between users here. We will be trying to make the duo's as fair as possible.

Each duo will receive the own discord channel in this server to communicate and discuss. The hosts/mods/coaches still have access to these channels so you're always free to ask for advice or help. Any general suggesting issues would still be fine in suggestion-help.


Based on feedback regarding Challenge #4 we will likely we doing specific effects again. Since we might be working in duo's there might be extra effects added.

Challenge #3 started!

It's now hurricane season, almost summer on the northern hemisphere and almost winter on the southern hemisphere, so we figured it'd be a nice timing to update as many Stormy Storm and Blizzardy Storm hats as possible!

The points will be awarded the same as the previous challenge.
A full suggestion will grant you 2 points.
A mini suggestion will grant you 1 point.
New: a micro suggestion will grant you 1 point. (more info down below).
A B/O drop suggestion will grant you 0.5 points.

New changes:

1. We've picked up on what participants would like to see changed as well. Therefore we've decided that you can now also gain points from micro suggestion. Those are suggestions that you need to update a mini, which you need to update your main hat.

A micro suggestion will grant you 1 point.

Example: you're updating hat A. Hat A sold for hat B which is also outdated and sold for hat C. You can now update all three and earn 4 points (1x 2, 2x 1 points).
Note: if hat B needs multiple micro's, you will get a point for each one! So if hat B sold for 2 outdated hats, there are technically 2 hat C's. You can update them both for points!

2. New role: @Item Histories. Ping them if you need item histories if you do not have premium yourself!

Prize pool: 13.5 keys. This consists of 1 unusual (Galactic Codex A Head Full of Hot Air), 5 keys and 12 ref which will be given accordingly by the end of the challenge.

Challenge ends on the 15th of June.

As usual, the left over key will be given to the best suggester in challenge based on e.g. effort, quality, performance etc. This will be chosen by hosts/coaches/mods.

Please post all your suggestions in #suggestion-links and INCLUDE the mini's here as well. If it's a mini, please state so, this way it's easier for us to count the score at the end of the challenge.
