FIrst of all there is nothing in common between NATO and old colonial countries who took place in Africa. NATO is a military "alliance" led by USA , while colonial countries were doing their own business with their own rules centuries earlier.
And they don't "invite the russian military to protect them from the british and french", only Wagner' proxys say that hahaha
African people blame europeans for colonizations (kinda based) and exploiting their ressources but when we give them back their independance the country just turn into a shithole and they finally do nothing much without us.
So they finally invite other countries to exploit their natural ressources and just ask a rent for it. If they don't get that much ressources, they just ask for military contracts/protections, with diplomatic and economic support in exchange.
Why did they call Russia or China instead of European countries ?
Firstly to remove the "colonizer guardianship" and gain pride from it (and also because there is a strong anti-occidental propaganda, mostly through PMC Wagner communication) ; and secondly because Russia and China will do the same as the previous ones but without "bothering" them with the Human Rights, the Democratic Process to follow, etc...
The problem with Occident is that we tried to apply our "way of thinking" to every country around the world, without considering that it was not applicable to every people.
So it's a win-win contract ; both earn money and advantages and no one have to change habits.
And thinking that the world will be a better place the day USA will (probably) collapse is an utopia. There always been and there always be stronger nations who take advantages on other ones. "States have no friends, only interests."
