This group is a continuation of this group, which is no longer active or maintained. This group is distinct from Synthwave Profiles.

Vaporwave was the first of the major "web-core" aesthetics, finding popularity long before Frutiger Aero became a common name. As such, in the early days of Steam profile design, Vaporwave found many creative adherents. The watered down sequels, Synthwave and "Retro-Wave" (whatever that means), soon overtook Vaporwave. This group is meant to celebrate and promote profiles that are distinctly Vaporwave. Membership is only granted to those who adhere to the aesthetic, and have a certain level of originality.
