Welcome to Experiment 13: Store Hubs
Our catalog of games is big, and it's only getting bigger! Experiment 13, featuring new Store Hubs is designed to help you navigate every corner of the store, browsing each genre, theme, feature, and attribute you care about to discover just the perfect next game.

We hope you'll give the new Store Hubs a try and let us know what you think, here in the Discussions.

Have to keep rejoining the lab to see it on my homepage, this an issue?
Nice! Looks very exciting and has a clean design!

this is generally better but there are a couple of things i think should be changed:

the checkerboard pattern on the featured microtrailer hurts my eyes, i'd prefer if the trailer was just at like 60% opacity or something

there's no longer links to switch from the content hub view to all games (e.g. viewing top sellers on the old version of the content hub page would give a link to go to the page showing all top sellers), it'd be nice to have that back

hovering over a game no longer gives the option to ignore or update content preferences, these were convenient shortcuts that should be re-added

other than that this is a good update, thanks

Just a quick browse through the carousel suggested 3 games that I already own. Seems somewhat pointless to suggest someone buy something they already have bought.

I will say I love how it looks, but it seems a bit inconsistent with how well it preforms.

The F2P Hub is missing the top sellers list.
Some pages like /category/multiplayer_coop/? stuck forever loading icon

I like the new design. It provides a good overview of the available games and it scales great with different aspect ratios (as far as this is possible with a min scale value).

However, the "RECOMMENDED NEW RELEASES" section and the following sections are a bit too small and seem a bit out of context at that point (they don't fit in nicely).

Another feature, that might be nice, but not must do would be an Endless Scroll function with the last "category" (?).

When selecting a new category ("New & Trending", "Top Seller", ...) the client flashes black. This is an issue, that probably should be fixed.

When selecting a category in the last "category" (?), the expansion could use animation, but personally, I enjoy fewer animations, which just adds a delay.

I'm not sure about sound in the preview mode (when hovering over a product), but this might be a thing.

I hope this isn't going to stay. Looks horrible, uses a lot of internet bandwidth to load the micro trailers, which I always found useless, and it removes the quick Ignore button which I use.

If this stays after the experiment, I will stop using the store. I don't care if I overreact. I don't like it.

I understand you want to use a touch screen friendly UI for steam deck, but I am using a desktop pc and I have no use for it. At least allow us to disable the micro trailers.

Also you broke the ignore feature. This is how it looks in the current store without the experiment. https://i.imgur.com/TqwYIdH.jpg If I ignore something, it means I don't want to see it. Yes the hide ignored items is enabled.

I don't mind the new design with a couple of exceptions;

Games from my library are showing up in several of the sections and I feel aesthetically the top section is a bit too large on a standard sized monitor

I like it very much so far.
I wish there was also the additional option to "ignore" a game instead of just adding it to the wish list.

I agree. Having the option to ignore games that do not interest me and personally curate the Steam store is one of my favorite features.
