memory leak
the latest beta seems to have a memory leak. found steam using 2GB of ram while idle.

I don't know about the latest beta - but Steam and memory leaking is a very old tale at this point...
Like a stale sandwitch you left in the fridge Minority Report style ( wink wink )...

Steam desktop app has been memory leaking to various extents for YEARS - like - at least 5...
It internally uses chromium engine - which is one of the primary culprits for both:
- needless resource hogging
- occassional memory leaking

I don't know what to tell you...
I would HOPE Valve fixes this "someday"...
But my hopes are low at this point :/
