Controller won’t reconnect after powering off (Steam Client Beta, Windows 11)
Hi, I’ve run into a problem while using the Steam Client Beta on Windows 11.

If I’m playing with a wireless controller (tested with both Bluetooth and dongle) and it powers off during gameplay (inactivity or charging dock), when I turn it back on the game no longer recognizes it. The only way to fix it is to close and relaunch the game with the controller already on.
This happened to me in Disney Dreamlight Valley and V Rising. In Dreamlight Valley I found a weird workaround (turning on a second controller, then powering off the first one made it work again), but in V Rising nothing worked.
When I opted out of the Steam Client Beta and went back to the stable client, the issue disappeared, controllers reconnect normally again.

Just wanted to flag this in case others are seeing the same thing.

It appears that what was previously a beta issue has now become standard, and I’m still experiencing this outside of beta. Since it wasn’t fixed, the Steam update brought the error along. I sincerely hope this gets addressed, as it’s very frustrating for someone who can only play with a controller to have it shut off and be unable to continue unless I restart the game, losing all progress. This is especially bothersome when playing Silksong.
