Dear Snipers,

SnipeZilla has long been at harmony with CGL (Champions Gaming League), but today, we've managed to achieve a new friendship milestone:

More than half of our admins have been, or currently are, banned from the CGL servers!

So, in celebration of this achievement, we would like to invite all snipers to a huntsman/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle later today (Sunday). Time is yet to be provided (Event announcements will be provided an hour ahead of time).

We sincerely hope that all CGL members still feel welcome to our servers. We won't ban you based on your criticism, no worries.

Dear Snipers,

As some have probably already read, we intend on starting our Snipezilla Events Program this weekend.

on Saturday the 30th around 21:00 PT (Pacific Time)
and (if possible) Sunday the 1st around 20:00 CT (Central Time)
(I will be posting an announcement an hour before it starts as well, incase some are still uncertain)

What are we intending? Well, trying to set up games that one would likely never encounter on a SvS server.

Our events roster for this weekend:

1. SvS Smash-ball with low gravity and rifles and a Half-Life-esque mood.

2. SvS Payload, but with tf_medieval only. So get your arrows and pans ready. And expect spells.

Limitations that will be set:

• No HLStats
  
• No Spy to worry about
  
• Still no Sydney Sleeper

Also, we do encourage people to join the SZ discord for oral entertainment and most likely random name-calling and chaotic screaming. In other words, the regular SnipeZilla chat feed, but with voices.

We hope either of those modes pique your interest.

In short, anything that seems like fun, but still heavily relies on the Sniper-only plugin. These events are intended to expand beyond the typical SvS maps and surroundings, but at the same time to utilize what helped make the SvS scene as prominent as it is.

For example, our first event weekend will consist of two payload maps (likely to be four rounds – two rounds per team). One map will have all rifles and weapons enabled, while the next map will have the tf_medieval mod enabled (huntsman/melee only).

• Hunger games
  
• 16-man Sniper MvM
  
• Casual scrims (including old classic SvS maps and headshot-only plugin)
  
• Arena
  
• Generally any classic game mode, but with a SvS twist (including PASS time mode)
  
• Saxton Hale (on the table)

Nope. They’ve been disabled on the server that we’ll be using, so you need not worry about your statistics!

Also, to add, we have a discord channel and will be using that. Feel free to join, but don’t consider it anything mandatory.

29th, 30th and the following 1st of the month. Events will be held on weekends. Hopefully, if enough interest is garnered, we can do this every weekend.

Consider this group a “VIP” heads-up for any events. I will of course provide announcements in the public SnipeZilla group, but those announcements will be posted on the day.

In order for this project to gain and hold traction, it requires the support and initiative of its community. So any help, either to spread the word, or with the server and events themselves, would be of great help regardless of how small you may think your contribution is!
