WIP Log - #63
Hello everyone!

There was again good progress of the rework of the Western Loco!

The train and tender are mostly finished!
Only a few minor adjustments are needed!
After that, I'll take care of the passenger train car!

Some questions that might be asked:
Q: Are there new sounds? A: No. Sound editing is not my strength, so we keep the old ones.
Q: Will the new loco have also only 3 colorable parts? A: No. There are 15 parts that are colorable on the loco.
Q: Is the tender a seperate vehicle? A: No. It will spawn with the loco as one vehicle.

WIP Log - #62
Hello everyone!

There was good progress of the rework of the Western Loco!

I worked most of the time on the rig and the animations of the train, so it was not worth to show new pictures. BUT! In the next week there will be a good chance to make some ingame screenshots!

The model of the tender is done but not textured nor rigged. It will be the next after the train is done. After that the passenger car will follow.

Animations can be created fast for train cars because there is not much to do beside a simple wheelspin and open/close animations for doors.

Rigging is always a long term progress because I need many bones for all the vehicle parts and attachments. And of course always in right order, hierarchy, position, angle and so on. These are all these small grey balls on the screenshot above.

Not anymore since the last big update with all the new pallets and industrial shelves.
Except you know how to program in lua.

Question about the forklifts. Would it be possible to remove the load limit, or bypass it somehow? Lets say for the sake of Sandbox, I need to move something slightly bigger than the pallet itself.

It should be still there, it's just a bodygroup.
I thought it would be better this way, so not all locos have same fixed number. :steamthumbsup:

Question:

I noticed that in the thumbnail of the SW Western Loco, there's a number plate on the side.

Was that a scrapped feature it had during its development? If so, why was it removed?
