somebody top kek for me, the game didnt alter the object effect until i equipped a lightning bolt staff and re-equipped jyriks staff, boom the changes are present, somebody needs to slap and clap me

so it turns out both object effect and magic effect specify 0.0000 cast time, let me guess..

oh i fixed it, turns out the only reason i wasnt seeing the changes is because apparently such things get saved into your save file? maybe im wrong... but either way its fixed.

now to remove the ♥♥♥♥ ugly storm call lightning bolt and replace it with the sensical lightning bolt hand cast spell.

Fixed jyriks staff being instant cast (as cool as it was having a rapid fire staff, im sick of it breaking even when i space my casts every 500millisecs, Editor-ID ShockDamageBoltStormAimed, Name, Lightning Bolt Call Storm, cast time was set to 0, reset like the rest of the staves to 0.5, problem solved..... i wish, the staff still mis-casts (strikes the same spot regardless of aimpoint and orientation) but only in the left hand, when righthanded no problem, trying out applying LeftHand [EQUP:00013F43], EitherHand [EQUP:00013F44] within the ETYP - Equipment Type section, heres to either hand solving the problem for... either hand.

How do you get the creation kit can't find it

Found a bug involving fire and frost cloak mesh effects, can be resolved by changing the billboard mode in NifSkope from Rotate_About_Up, to Rigid_Face_Camera, absolves the heinous issue i recently uncovered when sprinting first person with fire/frost cloak active (doesnt effect lightning, as the effect has no rotation) the effects rotate clockwise fairly consistent but while sprint is active they swing left and right while the effect rotates clockwise, very VERY confusing and often gave me nausea, but the problem is not evident in 3rdperson, leading me to believe there is an issue somewhere within the 1st person rig, completely solved by the above method, thanks to jaxonz for his subtle spell graphics mod, that of which put me on the path of even finding a real fix for this, hopefully the fix will be uploaded soon with credit where its due, jaxons and the nifskope + nif opt peeps.

And would a admen please post a anounce ment about this its so bad they are attacking even morrowend out sheer outrage. Morrowend has nothing to do with this too.

Just get inigo he is a kahjitt follower that is custom ly voice acted and Lvls with you he actually has a large set of dialouge and things to say about what is currently going on while playing it could be anything from singing to making jokes

Could someone out there actually create a follower who ISN'T meant to be eye candy, levels with the player, doesn't break immersion, and yet still makes for an epic adventure buddy? I have such a hard time finding a good follower mod these days.

Am I the only person here tired of seeing the same sort of mods on the featured list? They almost always seem to fit one of the following:
1) guy making armor from another game. Seems to be the same guy most of the time. Not interested in this, and its unoriginal. Same goes for the weapon mods that just put a weapon from another game in skyrim
2) crap music replacers. Always music from something else. Not interested, unoriginal, and annoying.
3) cheat mods that break all immersion. I don't want a fork than can one-shot karstag. I don't mind "cheat mods" that are helpful, like the ones that make the no stone unturned quest possible without using a web browser with the wiki open.
4) Crap companion mods. The last thing this game needs is more companions. This game must have at least a dozen differend companions. I especially dislike the ones that try to put a character from another franchise into skyrim. These mods always end up butchering the character in question.

You don't need to apply to anything or pay anything, most things can be done through the Skyrim Creation Kit which is free. If you want to make new models, you can do that through Blender, another free program, then import them into the Creation Kit.

i joined to ask how thus one start modding do you have a application or a site? do you need to pay? does more advance modding like quest line or alterating the game require more advance gear? where do you start, i need a push cause i have too much free time

I am making a quest that this character will give me. One of the dialogue options is "Follow me. I need your help." but instead of the usual "Lead the way." response (he is not part of the follower faction), I made him say "I'm sorry, no. I cannot leave Kaandremov[...]", further dialogue follows and he will assign a quest to you to retrieve something for him.
Once the retrieval is finished and the item returned to the guy, I want it the way so he will become a follower after I have finished the quest. Can someone tell me how to do this?
