I picked up many a game for way less than it went in the sale (like i said 80 to 90% off) and the games i did get never went that low even in the sale and they were games i actually wanted.
Yes some games nearly went for as much as they would even when not of sale, but i thought the auction was better than the sale and to be honest with region locking getting more traction for STEAM,eventually the only way to get games at a decent and fair price (on some games) will be in the sales and i for one bet that in future the discounts wont be any where near as good as they have been in previous sales.
Last years sale there were more flash sales and better discounts and it felt like more of an event,is this all a sign of things to come for future sales?????
I ended up getting about two games in the sale and thats it,a very limp and BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG affair for me this year and one i hope they dont repeat again anytime soon. The auction though was a great idea and i hope they do that again (ALLTHOUGH-now more people realise thats where it was at next time it might not be as fruitful a thing to be a part of as it was this time)
Thats what i mean it didnt feel like an event at all this year and was more of a chore to be honest :(
