Welcome to the largest Steam group for fans of the 2D action-platforming Shantae video games from WayForward. We post updates regarding new game content (DLC), future games, community created fanart, remixes, videos, and more!

The Shantae games offer a middle ground between Metroidvania-style action and straightforward 2D platforming. Our heroine, a half-genie named Shantae, can whip foes with her ponytail, cast simple magic spells, and dance to transform into animal forms that can access a wider range of areas. Shantae's character was created by Erin Bozon, while the games themselves were created by her husband Matt Bozon - a founding member of WayForward Games. Each game features an upbeat cast of characters, detailed sprites, and groovy tunes by Jake 'Virt' Kaufman.

To date, six Shantae games and three DLCs have been released on the following platforms:

As part of the LRG3 Showcase, Matt Bozon has confirmed that the 7th Shantae installment is currently in the works. The announcement video features a message from Matt as well as new Artwork of Shantae and Risky Boots with Twintails from the upcoming game.

Hey everyone! I'm Matt Bozon Director of the Shantae Series. On behalf of WayForward and LimitedRunGames and everyone who works on the Shantae Games. Just wanted to say thank you all so much for making the launch of Shantae Advance Risky Revolution a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you, and we're so grateful to have fans, thank you! And today I get to share some very exciting news. And that is, that we are hard at work on a brand new 7th entry in the Shantae series. So we won't have anything to share for a while, but we hope you look forward to it. And that's all for now, bye bye!

The Standard Edition is being sold for $24.99 and the Deluxe Edition is going for $34.99. Each edition is discounted at 20% off as an introductory offer until August 26th; The Standard will be $19.99 and the Deluxe is $27.98 until this promotional period is over.
(Important Note: The Deluxe Edition content cannot be purchased separately at a later date. You must purchase it with the game otherwise you'll have to buy the game again sadly)

The Deluxe Edition contains 3 additional costumes. Alongside changing Shantae's appearance, each costume has a respective ability buff as listed below:

Relic Hunter (Pike Ball Boost)
High Voltage (Storm Puff Boost)
Sizzle Armor (Fireball Boost)

There's currently a Shantae Swimsuit Special up at Udon Store and other various retailers. 2 Standard Covers, 1 Blank Cover, and 4 Incentive/Exclusive covers.
