I ragazzi di Piranha Bytes, in occasione della Gamescom 2016, hanno pubblicato un nuovo video gameplay del loro action RPG ELEX.

Il titolo metterà i giocatori in un vasto mondo senza soluzione di continuità che sarà popolato “personaggi originali e creature mutanti”. Il prodotto sarà caratterizzato da scelte morali e da una componente action: gli utenti dovranno decidere chi governerà il mondo di Magalan tra le emozioni umane o la fredda logica.

Il rilascio di ELEX, gioco in via di sviluppo per PC è previsto per l'inizio del 2017.

Piranha Bytes showcased its new open-world action RPG title, ELEX, at this year’s Gamescom and YouTube’s ‘World of Piranha Bytes’ has captured 9 minutes of gameplay footage from it. ELEX is set against the backdrop of a brand new post-apocalyptic science fantasy universe that promises to immerse players in a vast, seamless game world full of interesting characters, mutated creatures, deep moral choices and of course, some thrilling action. Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom è sicuramente uno di quei titoli da tenere d'occhio, perché potrebbe rivelarsi una sorpresa inattesa.

Il nuovo trailer, pubblicato in occasione della GamesCom 2016, mostra il gioco in un avanzato stato di sviluppo, con molti più dettagli grafici e con alcuni sistemi di gioco inediti. Insomma, di acqua sotto i ponti ne è passata dalla campagna Kickstarter conclusasi con successo ormai un paio di anni fa, e ora è quasi arrivato il momento di giocarci. Quando non è ancora chiaro, ma immaginiamo molto presto, visto che Focus Home ne ha ribadito l'uscita entro il 2016 su PC.

Focus Home Interactive has released the Gamescom 2016 trailer for Enigami’s action RPG, Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom. This trailer reveals more about the story of Shiness, chronicling the journey of a young Waki, Chado, who has left his home in search for the mythical “Land of Life”.

In Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom, players will explore a new world and battle enemies in intense 1 versus 1 duels by combining fighting game mechanics with magic, quests, and a fantasy adventure.

The game is planned for release at the end of this year.

Eidos Montreal ha fatto sapere oggi che il suo Deus Ex: Mankind Divided non supporterà al lancio le API DirectX 12 di Microsoft su Windows 10. Il supporto slitterà di circa due settimane, visto che il suo arrivo è fissato per la settimana del 5 settembre. La nuova avventura di Adam Jensen, invece, farà il suo esordio nei negozi a partire dal 23 agosto prossimo.

"Contrariamente al nostro precedente annuncio, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided—che uscirà il 23 agosto—sfortunatamente non supporterà le DirectX12 al lancio" si legge nella nota ufficiale degli sviluppatori. "Abbiamo un po' di lavoro extra e di ottimizzazioni da fare con DX12, e ci serve quindi più tempo per poter offrire un'esperienza coinvolgente. Il nostro team sta lavorando duramente per completare le cose con un ultimo sforzo, per cui ci aspettiamo di far uscire il supporto per DirectX 12 nella settimana del 5 settembre."

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases next week and a lot of PC gamers are already looking forward to it. Square Enix, EIDOS Montreal and Nixxes claimed that the game would ship with DX12 support from the get-go, however it appears that this won’t be the case.

As the Deus Ex team noted, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided won’t support DX12 at launch. The team expects to release a patch that will add support to Microsoft’s latest API on the week of September 5th.

“Contrary to our previous announcement, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which is shipping on August 23rd, will unfortunately not support DirectX 12 at launch. We have some extra work and optimizations to do for DX12, and we need more time to ensure we deliver a compelling experience. Our teams are working hard to complete the final push required here though, and we expect to release DX12 support on the week of September 5th!”
