Hi, everyone. We've been made aware of a recent scam going around Steam and would like to address it with the following:

You will never be asked to "log in" on our website to vote for any items (such as the Malibu Sunset effect, which isn't ours). Anybody asking you to do so is attempting to scam you, and you should report their Steam account immediately.

Our only official website is located at https://particle-mayhem-2.tf2maps.net/, which is hosted by TF2Maps. Anything not located on their domain is a deceptive site. If the URL you were sent is different than that, you are being scammed. Report the deceptive site using Google's phishing report tool[safebrowsing.google.com].

Did you miss us, fellow particle enthusiasts? The Particle Mayhem contest is BACK this year with a shocking twist that might just cause unexpected heart attacks: We're going beyond time and space!

The best part is... we want YOU to create all sorts of fancy particles, cosmetics, and war paints for the event! The prize pool starts at 100 Keys and will grow as the contest goes on. Do you think you have what it takes to travel throughout history, or venture into the vast regions on space?

The Particle Mayhem 2[particle-mayhem-2.tf2maps.net] contest runs through December 31st, 2023 at 12am UTC, so get cracking on those creations!

After a one hundred day event, 142 submissions, and a judging process that took the help of other scientists to keep the particles at bay, we’re FINALLY here to announce the winners!

We want to thank everyone who created particles and contributed much more to this event! This event would not be possible without the creative minds of you guys! We also want to thank the entire Team Fortress 2 community for all the support given to this event, the staff, and the content creators who put the time in to submit entries to it!

Hello Scientists, Witches, Wizards, and Crazy Mad-Lab beings! Hope you all have had a wonderful beginning to the New Year, and an excellent January! A lot of you have been waiting for our scientists to give an update on the announcement of our winners, so today, I've been instructed by our lead scientist to do just that!

You see, we've been tuckered out since Old Nick decided to drop by to try, and steal our fellow scientist's children, and we needed some time ourselves to get some rest the past two months. Some were tired from making new concoctions, others had to go back to university, because it turns out their degrees were fake (please don't tell anyone about that).

But as of now, we're well-rested, and all of our gear is in top shape! And we'd like to let you all know that The Judging Process is finished, and we're working on a very special winner's poster/page! As soon as it's done, we will push it out, and the winners will be known to the world! (Well, unless some agent decides to classify our work here, and we get shutdown).

Once again, we apologize for leaving you with no information for a bit. We hope you understand, and we can't wait to show the winners! Stay tuned!
