As of right now there has been no confirmation from either the author nor the studio about a second season. However, considering Re:Zero's popularity during it's seasonal run, it would be safe to assume a second season would be very likely. The only problem would be when... I'm assuming Studio White Fox is just waiting for the light novel series to go on for a few more volumes before they do another proper adaptation.

I absolutely love Re:Zero so I'm also hoping for another season and hopefully soon ;P hopefully this answers your question.

Yes, thank you guys for the enlightenment. Hopefully we won't be kept in the dark for too long and we'll be graced with another season of Re:Zero.
Until then, it seems i'm gonna have to by some light novels haha

I've already started getting haha I can't wait any longer to know more of the story. Currently have up till volume 2

I still need to watch Re:Zero lol i haven't gotten around to watching it yet

It's amazing imo! it has some similarities to Konosuba if you've watched that but with a slightly more serious and darker tone

The sad part about anime is that it's so expensive to make and to keep making new anime, what they do is they put in a lot of money into anime that will sell like hot cakes with reruns, DVD sales etc... Or if the anime is really good but there aren't enough viewers, they will use it to sell their manga and other stuff. Something like Re:Zero might get a second season but because the manga is ongoing and the original source is so large, it's possible that the anime will just be used to promote the manga and be incomplete. I expect re:zero season 2 to begin production next year for a 2019 release although there might not be a season 3+ (my guess).
