There isn't much out there that will take advantage of the raytracing abilities of the new RTX line. And for the few that do, FPS numbers will take a considerable hit when in use. Dollar for dollar you're better off looking to pick up a GTX 1080 or 1080Ti once the prices drop due the release of the RTX line. The 1080Ti is still a beast and has some raytracing abilities. You'll be able to max out just about every game ever released up to this point and have the ability to do 4K with ease.

edit: spelling

For 2070 in Poland i can almost buy a gaming pc but if you can afford it i would still wait for a drop in price and more games support RTX and work well with that option turned on

All new tech from EVERY card takes a while to show up as mainstream. If you needed an upgrade anyway. Why not. The changes to Quake 2 that will be launched in June (2019) look pretty good.

with next gen consoles marketed to support ray tracing should see more devs implementing it and we could see future RTX cars at a lower price point and more powerful. the 20xx series cars, yes they are expensive and tbh i understand why, it was new bleeding edge powerful technology and has taken time for devs to get comfortable implementing the tech. right now, its debatable on if its worth it. As an owner of multiple 2080Ti cards i make use of the RTX elements a lot as i use them for non gaming stuff. For me the price is worth the increase of productivity. it all depends on what your doing with the cards will depend on if its worth it

Considering making the jump for 2080 to 3080 if I can get one MSRP. Or should I wait till the 4080 or super of the 3080. I play at 1440 and just want the frames oh..and a few games can't do ultra with 90 FPS. I got a 9900k before that comment is made.

Right now the 2080 its like 99% same of 3070. I have a 2080, i will wait for the 4000 series. :3 But if you want the max quality and you have money, of course, buy 3080 or 3090 :D
Yes if you have powerful enough GPU .
Half Life with RTX its amazing
Cyberpunk its locking cool
But I recommend you at least 4070 for good RTX experience .
