EDIT: I should of included more info with my post.
1) I uninstalled steam off both android devices & freshly reinstalled
2) Signed in with both devices. Had to get steam guard codes for both devices to log in.
3) Used my s4 to recieve the sms messages and used my tablet to read the email(s). For some reason my phone ignored the first message and sent another message.
4) Used code on phone and locked steam guard onto sms codes.
5) Refreshed tablet to understand the steam guard change.
6) Both devices are reading sms system.
1) I got two mails, one "Steam Authenticator sign-up" and "Phone added" very briefly after each other. Seems a bit redundant
2) The phone e-mail needs updating
- Similar comments to below (bulletpoint 3).
3) The Authenticator sign-up needs updating:
- Link missing
- The 'change password immediately' could probably also use a link to the Support FAQ
- Same for 'submit a request for assitance'
4) The phone e-mail has an inconsistent HTML format compared to other Steam e-mails.
Couple of questions:
Is there a backup method?
Can I still get emails sent if I lose my phone?
What happens if/when I get a new phone?

The FAQ they have covers a lot of the 'worst case' scenarios. Basically you have backup codes (which 99.999% of peole will never print) or SMS recovery
Updated the Steam App on my Android device. (Google Galaxy Nexus)
Upon launching the App I was presented with the screen regarding the two factor authentication
Changed the setting to recieve it via SMS rather than Email.
Followed the prompts, recieved two emails from Steam Support
Relogged and Bam it asked for the code.
Works as intended
Really like the new addition of the extra security, however, what if someone have a rooted device, could someone steal the tokens?
The UI on the Android client is still behind the iOS client. Could do with some optimizations on the Android part as well.
It also seems a little unnecessary to get two emails - One saying my phone number has been registered and another saying that it's been activated. But that's more of a nitpick than anything.
Also, on the Manage Your Phone page on the Steam Community website, there are two missing strings - One as the webpage title and another in the page text:
Thanks, we will fix that.

Phone is showing multiple instances of steam running. Never seen that happen before.

EDIT: I was able to fix the empty blue screen by clearing out the app instances shown in the second image.
If you press home button to see SMS message, after going back app reset page to home and you should go through entire process again, which gives you another code in the next message.
So it's impossible to enable authenticator if you have notifications disabled or the code is cutted because of message length for example

This is known.
If you opened message from notificaton and then presseed back button - it's ok, but if you pressed home and then clicked on Steam icon - it always resets to homepage then.
