After the 13 episode it's quite boring, it has nothing to do with the main idea of SAO.
Thats the resaon why there is so much shitstorm out there, but I really enjoyed the first 13 episodes :3

I did quite enjoy ALO, but it was (just like the overall series) too fast paced, it should've had more episodes to get interesting, both SAO and ALO. I don't think the anime is to blame, it's adapted from the Light novel with what-so-ever amount of funds for it.
Overall quite enjoyable, allthough there was so much more potential
