On january 11th, 2012, my son was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that slowly eats away at your lungs. It was too late to diagnose a proper intervention, and my son had only but a few years left.
Fast forward two years, and my son died from this disease, we chose to pull the plug on him because he had fallen into a coma which he would have never woken up from. His body simply decided to shut down instead of suffer an awful disease that would have left him gasping in agony for months. My wife and I were wracked with grief, completely devastated at the death of our only child.
On February 20th, 2014, our son passed away peacefully in his sleep, flatlined as his assisted respirator stopped pumping air into his lungs.
