Rules
The rules are already in the group description but I want to use this to write more detailed versions. Please understand the vast majority of these rules exist only because Steam as a platform enforces them.

This list is not exhaustive. I'm just trying to cover the topics that could cause the biggest issues. Common sense and the Steam Community rules and guidelines apply at all times.

The consequence to the rules not being followed, except for rule no 1, is simply that your posts will get deleted, nothing more. Unless the same rules keep being broken.

1. No insults directed at any member of the group, or the group as a whole. Any insults will result in an instant ban.
If you don't want to be here, you can leave, so you don't need to insult me or the group itself. If someone upsets you, there is always a constructive way to deal with it, and you can always use the report function if necessary. But someone is always around to spot when things escalate.
We all have our opinions about things and we can respectfully disagree and both sides can leave the conversation having learned something from it.
There were only 4 events of anyone insulting anyone in the entire lifetime of the group, so this doesn't even have to be a rule, but it was created so that new people joining in the future know what's expected of them.

2. No insults directed at specific Valve employees.
Not a single one of the Valve employees present on Steam, makes any decisions. And even if they did, it's their platform and if they don't like anything about this group, they can close it whenever they want.

3. Use only English at all times. Anything not in English will be deleted.
This is an English group, so everyone should be able to understand what you write here, and the team doesn't speak every language in the world, meaning only posts in English can be moderated.

4. No discussions about piracy, cracks or anything else related to that.
The key point here is not to use Denuvo to justify piracy, and not to mention games getting cracked, because to Valve that can look like this is a group tracking crack releases.
After one month from a game getting cracked, you can of course make a point about it. For example saying "this game was already cracked a month ago, why is Denuvo still in it?"
Obviously, never post a link to a game crack release or to a news article stating the game was cracked.

5. No shortened links or referrals are allowed.
This includes store referral links, or stuff like CS 2 referrals, which are commonly spammed on Steam. Shortened links are not allowed because they are only used either to hide what you are sending people to, or to earn money from sharing the link.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
The following things are allowed:
Banter, profanity, general discussions about piracy and the industry, and everything else not mentioned in the rules or in the Steam Community rules.
