EA is at it again, once more displaying their absolute ignorance and incapability of administrating their products and services.

Anyone who has played a Battlefield title in the last, well forever, is well aware of the amount of cheaters existing. This has been an ongoing issue since at least as far back as Bad Company 2.

Instead however of taking care of this issue, due to their incompetence, EA has simply ignored the issue, leaving cheaters to freely, not only disrupt the gameplay but even remaining on the very top of leaderboards (despite obvious false stats) and even as bad as ddosing servers, causing server crashes, doxxing other players etc..)


Recently however, a ban wave took place - but not the one you'd expect. The cheaters are still there, instead many players who have not been cheating, have been banned. It's a case of the automated flagging system not working (as is common with EA products..) yet again. One can hope that this problem is resolved quickly and that the false negatives are revoked, but that's probably giving EA too much credit. Instead, appeals takes so long that the automated bans period has ended, and so EA automatically closes the appeal case without even replying (leaving an infraction score that would cause future bans to exist for even longer..) or in some cases even worse, EA support has been rude and even outright harassing the people making the appeals.


This is also not a case of people getting banned, claiming they weren't cheating but it is up for interpretation or unclear in terms of evidence - this is a technical issue, we're talking about 100% confirmed legit players who have been incorrectly banned.


With EA banning and harassing their costumers, and their past releases being one disaster following another, will you support them financially in the future?

BF2042 is just the gift that keeps on giving. From a complete failure already back at the open beta weekend, it's been trying hard to redeem itself since - and while certain things have improved, it is far from what it should be.

Now they've launched season 6 (with very limited new content..) and with a lot of technical issues. Many players are reporting an infinite validation loop when attempting to launch. The solution is to completely uninstall the garbage EA APP and then launch BF2042 via Steam. It will then reinstall EA APP and resolve the problem (unfortunately, we're still forced to continue with that awful launcher..)

Once actually in-game however, it doens't get any better. The cost of of the battlepass has been massively increased with this season. From a previous 1000 in-game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (the equivalent of 10€/10$) to 4000 (40€/40$)

Not only that but the amount of xp gained has been greatly reduced, making BP progression much slower - most likely a desperate attempt to have players buy "BP tier skips"


All in all, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is 2042 continues. Expect nothing and get disappointed still.

The issues with BF2042 following the launch of S5 has only gotten worse.

Not only are stats not updating, or progress (xp/bp/mastery) being granted to players, the issues have gotten worse with servers constantly crashing now.


Not the comeback that EA had wished for. Instead, whatever little positive feedback they were starting to get, has been thrown out the window. It is clear that S5 was released in the same state as the base game itself.

Perhaps it will be playable in 1½ year, we'll see.

Battlefield 2042, which has been a pretty much constant disaster since the first day of its release, saw it's latest "major" update drop yesterday with Season 5: "New Dawn". Update included 1 new map and 3 new weapons.

However, servers were crashing constantly all of yesterday, and today players are met with the message;

"Stat tracking disabled, no XP, BP or Mastery progress available while we investigate an issue.."


Once more, the incompetence of the team(s) over at EA is shown. In addition to these issues, several players have reported that they have been banned without any reasonable cause or justification behind. The stated reason of the ban (whether temp. or perm.) is "harassment" but EA has refused to state why, what was said or done that allegedly violated any service agreements.



Quite severe issues, seeing how both EA and many active players were hoping that S5 would be a "fresh start" for BF2042, but with issues on the first days, players will be losing interest fast, considering that there's so much else to play out there..

So yesterday, I wrote about EA banning BF2042 players without any cause and today we're met by the breaking news that EA are about to lay off 6% of the workforce - ca 775 employees, as part of a restructuring.
