ABOUT ANTI-EA

This group was created to demonstrate our dissatisfaction with the company known as Electronic Arts, EA. We believe that for too long now, EA has been abusing its power over their in-house developers by making them set very strict deadlines which reduces quality control and sometimes forces them to release products that are either poorly made or not even finished properly, leading to the possibility that the cut or 'planned' content that was to be in the main release of the game is now forced to be output as DLC.

Since the creation of their online platform Origin (formally known as EA Downloader Manager) EA has been shifting focus on the PC platform to their Origin client. The worst part about this is, even though most of their games can still be bought from the likes of GreenManGaming and Gamersgate, we haven't seen anything that requires Origin appearing on steam.

People say that steam is not different by not offering their titles on other Digital stores, but this is not true, impulse is known to be selling a few Valve titles e.g.

However, more to the point we recognise that:

-EA is a company with financial needs, just like any other company or coporation

-There are some popular franchises that some in-house developers produce that are still very much liked by the gaming community, and thus disagree with us to an extent

However:

-EA has been known to support the controversial SOPA.

-EA have been known to be shutting down a lot of servers and services in many different games (some recent, some not, but still had a small community), while other companies have been keeping servers active for online multiplayer games that are practically dead.

-EA has been known to be one of the first to pioneer the online pass and on-the-disk/day 1 DLC.

Since most groups in the steam community are dead, we made a new, and active one.

Another wave of inaccurate bans hits BF players

EA is at it again, once more displaying their absolute ignorance and incapability of administrating their products and services.

Anyone who has played a Battlefield title in the last, well forever, is well aware of the amount of cheaters existing. This has been an ongoing issue since at least as far back as Bad Company 2.

Instead however of taking care of this issue, due to their incompetence, EA has simply ignored the issue, leaving cheaters to freely, not only disrupt the gameplay but even remaining on the very top of leaderboards (despite obvious false stats) and even as bad as ddosing servers, causing server crashes, doxxing other players etc..)

Recently however, a ban wave took place - but not the one you'd expect. The cheaters are still there, instead many players who have not been cheating, have been banned. It's a case of the automated flagging system not working (as is common with EA products..) yet again. One can hope that this problem is resolved quickly and that the false negatives are revoked, but that's probably giving EA too much credit. Instead, appeals takes so long that the automated bans period has ended, and so EA automatically closes the appeal case without even replying (leaving an infraction score that would cause future bans to exist for even longer..) or in some cases even worse, EA support has been rude and even outright harassing the people making the appeals.

This is also not a case of people getting banned, claiming they weren't cheating but it is up for interpretation or unclear in terms of evidence - this is a technical issue, we're talking about 100% confirmed legit players who have been incorrectly banned.

With EA banning and harassing their costumers, and their past releases being one disaster following another, will you support them financially in the future?
