Group Rules
These are a few rules we have established for the group. Nothing majorly serious, but worth noting, as violating some of these may result in a ban. Feel free to ask any questions regarding these rules and an Admin will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Do not ask anyone to earn your achievements for you, by logging onto your profile.
You may ask for tips/guides or other methods. Harrassing players to earn achievements for you will result in a ban.

  • Do not cheat your achievements.
Using S.A.M to unlock all the achievements to a game for the sake of raising your stats is clear cheating. The use of S.A.M is and will be greatly discouraged.

  • Do not belittle anyone else's 100% games.
Feel free to boast about your accomplishments, but do not belittle someone else's because you may have more, or harder achievements. The difficulty or quantity does not matter, it all depends on each individual Hunter. Try to help if you can, instead. Violating this rule might result in a ban if aggressive language was used.

  • Be nice.
We're trying to keep a friendly, helpful community here, let's keep it that way. Do NOT harass, discriminate or threaten anyone! We will not tolerate any real discriminating, racist, homophobic, sexist, aggressive, threatening, abusive or plain annoying behavior. Violating this rule will result in a permanent ban.

  • Do not self-advertise.
We are a community of players thriving for 100% completion in our games, we are not an advertisement group. If you have a game you would like to be curated by us, contact an Admin and we will get back to you as soon as possible. If agreed, we will proceed to advertise it ourselves amongst the group. Violating this rule will result in a ban, and your advertising comment will be deleted.

  • Do not spam.
This counts towards comment sections, discussions, and the chat room. Aggressive spamming will result in a ban. If you have been banned for this in the past and proceed to do so again, you will receive a permanent ban.

  • No scammers.
Do not post links to shady or untrustworthy websites in an attempt to scam players. Doing so will result in a ban.

  • Do not request Admin/Moderator positions.
These positions only go out to people I, or any of the other admins personally know and trust. Violating this rule will not result in a ban.

If anyone has been seen violating the more serious rules, please report it to any of our Admins immediately, with a solid form of proof, (a screenshot, chat logs are too easily altered.) so we know you're not just trying to troll someone. If you do manage to get someone banned without them being guilty, you yourself will be banned. If you have been banned in the past and would like us to lift it, please contact an Admin with valid reasons. More than two past bans will result in permanent extraction from our group.

That's all, folks. Feel free to contact me or any other Admin with questions regarding the group and/or rules. Remember, the goal of an achievement is to feel a sense of accomplishment. If you are not having fun or enjoying yourself, you're missing the point.

Happy Hunting!

Quick question, I sometimes use SAM to find hidden achievements from games so that I know what to do to get them. Is it ok to post screenies of that in here so other ppl can see how or not allowed cuz of SAM?
Maydenn Jan 25, 2017 @ 9:46pm
Well, if anyone needs help with that it would be okay to show them how to unlock them, (I think all of Starbound's achievements are hidden, so I see your reasoning.) as long as you don't tell them to unlock everything with SAM. :)

heh nah that kinda defeats the whole purpose of it being an achievement. I'm working through the hidden non-grindy / sometimes silly achievments in Ballistic Overkill. Since they were just added I'm tryin to get the jump on them altho some of them I can't see any way to get them ... I'll make a post about it ...

I see, well, then I understand that you would use it to reveal the achievements. Goodluck! I hope you get them. We're still a relatively small and growing group so I do hope you find someone in here that can help.

question, do you disapprove of SAM when it comes to getting broken achievements(where you did what you need to do to get the achievement, it just didn't pop)?

Usually there are cases where games have fixes for this, if all of the possible steps have been taken to fix the problem and it still doesn't work, then the use of S.A.M is understandable. A lot of people also prefer to leave the game unfinished. I know Darksiders has a problem with achievements not unlocking, I had the same issue, but there are fixes for it that worked for me. It's always best to try everything you can before resulting to S.A.M. For your own safety as well, as to not risk getting a VAC ban.

what games would give you a VAC ban for using SAM?

It's difficult to tell and that's why the risk is so big. Online games, mostly, with VAC secured servers. Because they have inbuilt cheat detection that can pick up a program like SAM being used. So as far as I know it's mostly online/multiplayer games with protected servers.

oh okay, well I'm probably safe then since I don't really play multiplayer, and I don't play things like DOTA 2 and CSGO(which I would imagine are the premium examples for it, along with TF2). I'll be sure to avoid VAC protected servers in any case.
