Update All Button/Setting
I noticed an old post with some discourse around this, but I just wanted to ask for a "Download All" button or even something that would download the smaller updates (i.e. under 1GB or something if we're still concerned about the server capacity and peak times). I know it's probably a bit of a lazy request as I (and possibly others) already just slam down the side clicking all the download now buttons next to the games but just wanted to see if there could be more options to the auto download feature.

Pretty sure there is a setting where you can set the updates to start auto downloading at a certain time.

So long as your computer is on (not asleep or hibernating) and Steam is running, the games will download the updates at the set time.

I have some games set to do this, I simply forgot how I set it up.....

But that is the closest currently available thing.

Valve removed it during Covid and it has not returned.

Drop and drag the games in the queue and they will all download.

It basically was a waste of bandwith for a placebo. By the time it'll take you to play those games you just updated 'just in case' another update will surely be pending and you'll be at square one.
Just pointless friction added by Valve. Four clicks in the daily routine instead of one.

Pointless friction? Valve disagree.

Exactly. I am currently not playing any game which has recently had an update in my library.

Not pointless...For them.
And for the user it was mostly a 'feelgood' measure for the most part
