Forums to avoid.

What are some game specific forums to avoid?

I got Helldivers 2, say something good or just neutral about the game and you will be hurled abuse at and if you try to fight it you will be falsly reported for being 'toxic'.

Also Skyrim, do not mention modding and especially certain mod creators and the same thing will happen.

Yes, this me is kind of venting and trying to avoid further toxicity.

And American Truck Simulator. Worst fora i ever seen. Great game, and i'm a fan, and i'm not going to let awful moderation and clientel change my view of a game i enjoy, but that's the worst i personally ever posted.

In my experience, probably Project Zomboid. Literally every issue you have with the game will just be dismissed with "it's a skill issue, gitgud." I've never seen such gatekeeping in any game, including souls-likes.

Seconded on this, ATS forums tend to actually moderate themselves from trolls and make it more productive. The only people i've seen dislike that specific forums are habitual trolls who try to derail conversations

haha why you don't mention modding on the skyrim forums? Something tells me there's a modding section and you spoke about modding on general.

Anyway, all of you I mean us, avoid blue archive forums... terrible, terrible people. Don't go there.

But pretty much any recent AAA game, because the forum will likely be awash in "anti-woke" crusaders, shrieking about "agendas being forced on us!" while trying to force their agenda on everyone.

All the forums for games made by CD Project Red are pretty bad, they run it like Reddit so there isn’t much chance of any sort of open game discussion taking place.

Yeah, how the turn tables, before it was the woke people, now it's the anti woke. Turns out people being extremists was the issue all along.

Off-topic and AAA game forums, mostly. Even some indie game forums are plagued with toxicity.

Prepare for absolutely nothing about it to change in 2026.
