expand your setup?
On steam looking threw the steam dock for steam deck it says expand your setup. i was just wondering what that thing is on right with red and silver wirers is?.

I am almost 100% that's a 3D printer, for which I am sure there are some 3D printer software compatible with Arch Linux.

The "wire" coils you are seeing might be the 3D filament it heats up and extrudes to make something layer for layer.

The idea could be that you can model something on the Steam Deck on the road, as there are a handful of modeling software compatible with Linux, then you would connect the printer to the dock at home and maybe transfer the files directly for some 3d printing.

Valve has always been a little wacky with product placements next to their own products, like guitars with custom liveries on them, but the 3d printer is actually a pretty common thing tech enthusiasts like to mess around with. So there could actually be more overlap here than you might think.

I am trying to figure out where you saw that image I went to the Steam Dock page and never saw it.

Same cant find it and looked all over steam page. Ive seen it in past pop up and go a few times too.

Not long now just over 2 weeks to ordering.
