You can try changing the launch options (right click game on Steam > properties).

It might work if you change it to the full path to thcrap_loader.exe, followed by (or maybe without the %command% part, not sure. I don't use Windows anymore so I can't test myself.)

In total, something like:

But you have to change the part to match where you have thcrap in your system.

Nobody cares what you think is more convenient.
There are various reasons to want to launch via Steam, but we don't need to justify anything to you.
If you don't care to do it and you don't care to help, then do everyone a favor and unsubscribe from the thread.

This tutorial requires that you have Touhou 15 Legacy Of Lunatic Kingdom to be patched in English using THCRAP. It will not work with the Japanese version. If you do not know how to patch it, look at the post directly below this one or look up a tutorial online, then come back here.

First I downloaded THCRAP patch of Touhou 15 then I patched it in English.

Then I went into the properties settings of Touhou 15 and put this as my boot E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\th15\thcrap\bin\thcrap_loader.exe th15 en.js %command% it boots into the English Version.

Note: Obviously your location of the game and thcrap will be different then mine but I am just showing you what it should look like.

1) First find the location of your Touhou 15 game, then look for thcrap_loader.exe which should be in your THCRAP folder in your game directory if you installed the patch.

2) Once you found the file-path of thcrap_loader.exe then you need to add th15 en.js %command% at the end. So it would be:

Touhou game path\thcrap\bin\thcrap_loader.exe th15 en.js %command%

3) Make sure you put the spaces as they are not typos or it wont work.

Note: You need to put th15 en.js %command% at the end once you found the file path of thcrap_loader.exe as It directly calls to the English Patch or it wont work.

It took me 1 hour of messing around until i stumbled onto this thread https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1704535601 which solved my problem.

This method does make steam detect you are running Touhou 15 while using the English patch. When you press play from your library, steam will notice you are running Touhou 15 even though you are using the English patch. Hopefully this answers your question.

This method also worked for Mountain of Faith but I would imagine it works for all Touhou Games on Steam but I have not confirmed that. The Universal THCrap Launcher did not work for me so I downloaded the pre-packaged patches which worked flawlessly.
