How does it work? Because the game talk about it when facing the griffin, but nothing works when I press LB and RB.

It only works when you are controlling Yuma. For me it's not together, but I bring up the force menu during battle, then I press RB to dragonshift.

Though I do believe I can do it on the xbox one by pressing the two together at the same time. (It's been sometime since I played the xbox so it may not be correct there.)
