I've just bought a brand new gaming laptop and just cannot load into a game since. Game crashes back to Steam during or at the end of the battle countdown.

Same here. On a gaming PC that runs smoothly serveral years, so it has nothing to do with HW I guess. Cant join any battle. Once the counter ends I am supposed to be loged into battle, game crashes.
I have tried to have game files checked, but it did not helped.

It must be a Steam thing as other WG titles I play via their Game Centre run fine.

I have the same problem when the counter ends it crashes 9 times out of 10. World of Tanks is working fine.

Got worse after the update for me, crashes before I play, while I play and after I play. This is/was my favorite game from Wargames and they F'ed it up so now I have to play world of tanks. Ugh!

the game crashes on me every so often. maybe every 15 or so games either when its supposed to launch a battle after waiting in que or after a battle ends instead of loading the hanger back up. but lately the past week or so this game has been nothing but lag and more lag. game typically runs around 120-140 fps but now it may load the game initially at 120 but int he first 60-90 sec of the game it drops down to below 70 every game some down into the 50s or lower. Getting noticeable spikes anytime another player gets near me in match.

Just logged in got to the start screen and it crashed, retried 3 times kept crashing, so much fun (I'm kidding this is BS).
Edit #1: Logged in again got to my airbase, I got a 1000 points and was shot down one, pressed battle again, went through count down then it crashed again, tried to get in twice but no go.
Edit #2 logged in again, got another 1000 points, every plane in the battle got a 1000 points and the game was a draw, about to try again.
Edit #3 finely got in and won the battle, finished the daily reward, got a loot crate full of junk.

Used to do this but got frustrated and tired. I uninstalled the game to save me the headache.

Game was working just fine for me yesterday; when I opened the game up today and got the anniversary garage, I noticed the skybox didn't load in.

Not sure if it's even a possibility, but I suspect the anniversary garage has some kind of code in it that just boofs the entire game completely. That's just my nonsensical two cents.

For me the game was fine before the anniversary garage, but now I sometimes crash when starting a match and all the props on my planes don't show when i'm in the garage. lol

This pile of crap crashes for at least 5 years for me on 2 different systems. Since I want to keep it on steam I always crash it myself so It won't crash when I join the game. These are the steps I take to do it

Its keeps crashing with me too. Even tried the non steam version, same bs

uninstrall reinstall then "start with default settings i disd that and its fixed now as far as i can tell i think it was because oh delete cache also kope thios helps guys im on laptop so if your on a actual pc it should work for you as well

Update: Its gotten better for me after the the Birthday update, I'm now able to play the game without is crashing all the time, just part of the time here and there, but its better.
