The lesson of the day is disregard tier lists, play who you think is fun.
- poke game
- movement
- damage
- whiff punish
- move set
and the list goes on. The list isn't a golden rule or set in stone. It is just personal opinions based on what makes up the character. But of course, a top tier character might only be good if you know how to make the most of them.
As others have said it is simply for those who are at the highest level of play and even then there are far more important factors than the tier list. Just expect to see more higher tier characters played/winning at about a 5% higher rate than lower ones when watching pro level tournaments.
