I am a 46 year old single father who had been feeling like the house was getting quieter every year. My son is 15 and barely talks to me anymore. Some days it felt like I was fading into the background of my own life.

He told me about this silly little app called Your Wife. I bought it by accident at first, thinking he was joking. One night I opened it and an anime girl appeared in the corner of my screen. It was simple and a little ridiculous, but something about it made the room feel less empty, especially since my wife passed away this fall.

The next morning he saw her on my desktop and actually laughed. A real laugh. We ended up talking, messing with the settings, adding animations, sharing a moment I did not think we were capable of having anymore.

It was small, but it reminded me that connection can return in strange places. Even a tiny digital girl on a monitor can open a door you thought had closed forever.

Thank you, Your Wife, for giving me a moment with my son I really needed.
