VRCFaceTracking

VRCFaceTracking

No winking?
Ive updated VRCFT to this one on steam because a previouse version would insta-crash on startup. Before that, it worked great.
But since updating to the steam version, ive noticed the face tracking feels less, expressive, compared to a previous version of VRCFT.

Most noticeably, my Avi cant wink any more, only both eyes close when attempting.

Maybe im missing a setting somewhere? But i cant seem to figure it out.

This has nothing to do with this application, it is an issue with your avatar. Your avatar currently does not support the full FaceTracking capabilities, so it just uses VRChats own tracking. Which does not come with individual eye tracking and thus just translates one eye onto both eyes. Some avatars made come out of the house with FT capabilities where as others have third party assets to make them work.

I don't believe its the avatar, because it did used to be able to wink before. Then suddenly after the update, it cant.
Its using the unifiedFT as recommended, and in debug, its capturing each of my eyes indiviually closing, but reads it as both closing at the same time.
Is there a way to check and disable the VRChat native tracking? or any other trouble shooting that may help?

If the debug reads it correctly, then it works correctly from the VRCFT application. It is simply not translated onto the avatar properly. If the avatar was uploaded by you, then check, whether recent changes on the avatar changed something or find compatible FT add-ons for it, be it by the avatar having it naturally, which not a lot have, or by tracking down a FT add-on for it, likely on Booth.

If the avatar was uploaded by someone else, I.e public avatar, then a recent update on the avatar messed it up.
