What did you have in mind?
what i had in mind is something simple like turning the textures down or removing some of the parts falling off the bots, the game is great otherwise; just some performance enhancing settings could be helpful for people with lower end pcs (also first interaction with a dev of any kind
yes I have, but the steam settings were the only thing that worked, simply i would love to enjoy this beautiful creation in more that 800 x 600 resolution
How do you guys feel about blocking mechanics? even if just specific to a weapon ability? sometimes when I'm catching my breath I can't swing strongly enough to interrupt an attack, and it feels super punishing with how much health you lose.
A shield would be a really fun weapon option in my opinion!
I would think it would have it's own HP pool that attacks take from, and then once it breaks they start to damage the arm; the shield would be repaired between rounds of course. (I guess you could make the player pay to repair it, but that feels unfair; since the other weapons don't have that limitation.)
You'd be giving up some offense for some defense, so I can't see it being over-powered; and it would pair very nicely with the Slim Axe for a real sword and board vibe.
On a side note, when I have a grabbing arm equipped, I often use the car wrecks as impropmtu tower shields; works pretty great! Right up until they get turned to scrap of course lol. Maybe give that a try for now?
We experimented with shields and parried sometime earlier in production - and it took away from the whole "rampaging metal ape" vibe.
But for some of our bigger upcoming updates it looks like it might become relevant again, so we'll see :)
Hell yeah! fingers crossed haha
