Game wont launch?

i hit play and it says launching but then never does, ive played the game on this pc before, and ive tried restarting but its still not working, anyone know what the issue could be?

Had the same issue. Found a reddit thread. Go to the steam library. Right-click and select 'properties'. In the general tab, look for the launch options and put -directx
