very fun

The first and still the best roguelike I've played. Everything from the soundtrack to the art style, ui design and gameplay is perfect.

On my very first run (this involved alot of pausing, panicking, and searching menus for options) I was down to 1 crew member against a fighter when they boarded. I barely destroyed the fighter and my whole ship was on fire and low on oxygen except for the cockpit. I only had weapons, o2, and engines running (by a thread), and the intruder was destroying my weapons (thank god neither of the others). I charged the FTL and barely made it to the next sector where there was a trader.

I used the last of my scrap to hire an engi who I had put out the fire in the door room and repair the door controls so i could have blast doors, then opened all the air locks and doors but the cockpit and door room, and I heard the fires and intruder slowly stop. But by this point the o2 was down, my pilot was on ~1 health, and my new engi was at about 1/3 health. I sold one of my weapons for 30 scrap and a drone for ~25 and bought another engi from the store.

I ran them to the o2 gen and had them repair it, they barely managed to get it running before they quickly suffocated, then the ship slowly restored o2 and I used my last 2 crew members to repair the medbay, heal up, and fix the ship. I went on for another 20 minutes or so before getting my hull destroyed by missiles and blowing up.

10/10 Absolute cinema, would die again.
