Can Deck output 300hz?
I just got a 300hz 1080p monitor. I've been connecting my deck to it via this 3rd party dock I bought specifically for high fps/hz. But when I connect via DP cable and then choose 1080p 300hz under display options no signal is received by my monitor. 240hz works fine, but nothing at 300hz. When I connect my laptop via this same usb c dock I can get some games to show up running at 300hz, but some games go to a black screen then back to displaying gameplay at 300hz. Rocket League won't show anything. Kingdom Two Crowns shows locked 300hz gameplay for like 2 seconds, then black screen for 5 seconds. PC ports like wipeout phantom edition, projectR, and the N64 decomps run perfectly without any black screen crap. So my laptop can sometimes show 300hz gameplay, but my steam deck seems limited to 240hz for some reason. I'd love to know how to fix this! I'd also like to know if Valve's official dock can output 300hz when connected to a steam deck?

I solved the black screen issue by turning on freesync on my monitor. I'm still hoping for a way to connect my Steam Deck to my monitor so I can play light games and pc ports at 300fps using my Deck.

why would you need 300hz for the steam deck?
The bandwidth required to transfer 1080p/300Hz exceeds 2160p/60Hz, so it cannot be output to a deck.
It should be possible to output 800p/300Hz.
Try experimenting to see how high you can increase the screen resolution.
